What an awesome way of paying it forward Lisa:)) I look forward to knitting this up asap! BTW, I wanna eat that Ashby up!!! He's too adorable for words.

I have only recently learned of the Dulaan Project. I'm planning on using lone skeins to make hats and things for them after the holiday knitting is done.

Gina

I noticed that scarf in the book, and I was hoping you might offer the pattern at some point. Thank you for doing so, and thank you for making it a very worthwhile project.

Lolly

I just ordered mine ;)
Thanks for doing this, Shobhana - great way to give, and to share your talent as well!

heather

I'm totally loving this idea - I'm excited about making the scarf and a little bit of a difference!

I ordered mine as well!

Roxanne

Jodi

It looks lovely and Dulaan's a great cause, but I'm having trouble with the pattern! It might just be me, but the beginning bit after the first 3 rows just isn't working right.

gwen

Pretty scarf and a great idea!
Thanks for making it available and making it possible for those of us with limited means to donate something to this very worthy cause.
Happy Holidays to you and Ashby!
: )

Christine

What a great idea, and a great cause. I've ordered mine and can't wait to find something in the stash to use to knit it up!

Kelly

I've ordered mine! I am having a shoddy day and intend to pay it a little further forward by picking up some yarn at my LYS today and supporting their post Xmas slump...

julie

Can you please tell us what your scarf is knit out of? I really like the look of your particular scarf. Very chic. Thank you.

shobhana

it's a cotton cashmere blend that i bought from School Products in NYC. there's no brand name, i'm afraid. they buy it from a mill in Italy.

Frances

I am just beginning and I love this scarf. Is it for beginners? If so I'd like to buy the pattern. Thanks.

Rhonda

I finally got around to finishing this scarf. I've started on another one.

Lisa, don't kill me, but the second on is in an acrylic yarn!

I would like to knit your SAVE THE SKEINS scarf from Vickie Howell's book 'Not another teen knitting book'.

You offered a variety of stitch patterns, and I would like to know (as a novice knitter who needs to duplicate it exactly for my sanity's sake), which patterns and in which order and how many rows of each you did.)

Please help me.

I forgot to mention that I am a vegan and wonder if you could give non-animal substitutes for your mohair/angora/wool,etc yarns?
